Some Bad Beans

So I post one blog post and the universe says "that's enough..don't write anymore of those!" Just kidding..but that's what it felt like. Somewhere in April, my WONDERFUL husband started feeling icky (he'd been feeling icky for a while) enough to go to the doctor. A few days later, after receiving some blood work back, they decided it would be best if he went to the ER, to then be transferred to the hospital. He stayed for several days while they figured everything out. After many tests they found out he has Acute Renal Failure (Crescentic IGA) and will eventually need a transplant. He went home and has been back to the ER twice with high blood pressure or other renal failure symptoms. He's been able to keep symptoms under control with medications but we received a call today that his numbers are not getting any better and we need to get our plan together for a transplant soon. We have picked the hospital and now we wait for them to contact us for evaluations to start the process. Long story short, my honey needs a new kidney! But hopefully after he gets a new one, he'll feel SO much better. He's been continuously sick ever since his diagnosis so we are ready to get through this and start the next chapter of our lives.
